Petr Čech's Academy to take place in July

Petr Arenberger, the Health Minister, admitted that summer camps will be open to children who test negative for COVID-19. Therefore, the preparations of the 16^th edition of one of the most popular Czech football camps are officially in their final phase. Launched in February, the registration for the camp is still underway and is now also open to young sports fans from abroad. The Academy's total capacity stands at up to 100 children.

“I am delighted that the situation in the Czech Republic is improving and that our Football Academy should take place as planned. And I am confident that I will be able to attend this year,” says Petr Čech. “We follow all the restrictions regarding travelling between England and the Czech Republic daily. The situation is not clear, but I am optimistic about it.”

Last year, because of restricted travelling between the Czech Republic and the UK, Petr attended the camp only virtually and also sent personal video greetings to every participant. The camp itself took place under standard conditions with the organizers closely watching over the observance of all sanitary measures and recommendations. If the situation keeps improving, this year's Football Academy will take place under similar conditions. The participants will be informed about the relevant measures in due time.
